Saturday may have featured quite a bit "liquid sunshine" but we had a great fair! Thank you to all our guests who braved the weather to view the exhibits, enjoy the entertainment, grab a tasty meal, and just celebrate with us.
The tractor parade glistened in the Saturday morning sunshine. Thanks to the amazing Yorktown Grange Tractor Club for organizing this mile-long tribute to our agricultural history and providing everyone with a chance to see these carefully maintained antique machines up close.
in keeping with the theme, we introduced our new mascot, Milkshake the Cow! Huge shout-out to Stephanie from Cortlandt Manor who entered the winning name in our Facebook contest. And special thanks to everyone who sent in fun and creative names.
Our musical entertainment was top-notch. We thank The Crew, Not Sorry Band, and the Whiskey's Edge Band for their great performances. As always, Kurt Gallagher and Annie & the Natural Wonder band delighted the little ones with cheerful and educational tunes. Wacky Chad braved the weather to perform his amazing comedy stunt show, and East Coast Pro Wrestling provided another weekend of crowd-pleasing antics.
The Grange Building was packed with lovely hand-crafted contest entries and yummy baked goods, and the Mulcahey Barn was full of beautiful flowers and prize-winning produce. We were honored to display the work of such a talented group of local makers and gardeners!
The livestock show was second to none. in addition to the beautiful horses from Dusty Farms Stables, the fair was home to lots of furry and feathered friends, including cows, goats, sheep, and poultry. In addition to the animals, the livestock area hosted a bee-keeping exhibit, wool-spinning demonstrations by Celeste Sherry and a hands-on cow milking demonstration for kids, sponsored by Hudson Milk + Market. The kids really loved "milking" the model cow!
We also thank our exhibitors, vendors and food vendors who add so much to the experience! The Midway was alive with laughter and good times, with rides provided by Blue Sky Amusements.
We are already busy planning the 2026 fair, which will be held on September 11, 12 and 13. We look forward to seeing you there! If you'd like to help plan next year's fair, please fill out our volunteer form.
